This is an idea that has been a long time coming that I am very proud to share with you all. We wanted to provide you with an option to donate loaves of bread to the blue Mutual Aid cabinets across town. For every $5 a fresh day-of loaf of bread will be delivered to cabinets that serve our community in Ithaca.
It came to my attention that one issue that can occur with food drives is that often peanut butter and jelly are donated due to shelf stability although bread is not as easy to come by - making for incomplete meals. I want there to be a nutritious and local staple provided to families!
These are the same loaves that we make for you - using organic and locally grown flour. This donation supports farmers, bakers, and members of your community in need.
