Sheepy Hollow Beanie - "Isildur's Cabochon Ruby"

$64.00
sold out

The last of Isildur's 2024 yarn was used in this shiny beauty of a hat. He grows a fleece with an amazing luster and nice hand feel. When making this hat in the autumn sunlight glow streaming through my South-facing window I was thinking about how it looks like an antique cabochon ruby.

This handcrafted beanie is made using the wool from my flock of Romney Longwool sheep. Romneys are known for their pearly luster and long staple length that provides a beautiful + durable knit that will last for many years. This cap is double layered with a rolled brim that will be both lofty and warm.

This hat uses the wool from my ram Isildur. He has an amazing shine! The yarn that was used was dyed in a small batch by the shepherd. Each is one of a kind :)
